GrubGrade | Review: Original Recipe Boneless Chicken from KFC.

Old news but —

There was once a very kind and generous man named Harland Sanders.  He eked out an existence close to my home, until his really wonderful fried chicken took off and became a nationwide and worldwide experience.

It was good.  It was a lot of calories, but a two piece with vegetable sides was a reasonably nutritious dinner.  They had real biscuits with real red eye gravy.  They mashed up potatoes to make mashed potatoes.  It brought pleasure and joy to Kentuckians like myself to be mentally associated with something that was good.

Fast forward to current.

.

.

Oh, gross.

.

We don’t understand why the potatoes have become the very worst generic instant flakes with some kind of bottled corn starch sauce.  We don’t understand the hockey puck that has become the world’s impression of what a biscuit would be.  The chicken is no longer carefully crafted, and the vegetable sides are canned green beans and make-ahead cole slaw.  Just not acceptable.

Run away.
