Is real food more expensive?

Eating real food is somewhat more expensive, portion by portion, yes.  Until you factor in the cost of your obesity related treatment and obesity related medications.

Or, if you prefer to think of it differently, eating the right amount of real food costs less than eating out or eating more, lower-quality, processed food.

We can tell you with total, calculated certainty that you can feed a family of 5 real food for about the same monthly amount as feeding them a typical western diet.  It does take some intelligence-gathering:  who has inexpensive bulk whole foods?  Where can you get farm eggs at a reasonable price?   Things like that.
