How do I know I’m losing weight fast enough?

If you’re losing enough weight for it to show up on your scales each week — a pound or two — that’s great.  We should add, if you’re 500 and you’re losing only 1, that’ a lot different than being 95 and losing 1.

Set a goal to lose 10% of your body weight, then get there at whatever pace you can muster without feeling deprived, always-hungry, and sick and tired of the whole process.  Then lose 10% of your new weight … it will come off plenty fast enough.
