Should expectant mothers take vitamins?

A resounding YES.

We’re becoming more and more accustomed to seeing more and more results showing that nutritional supplements are unnecessary if you eat well and don’t have any other particular health concern.

Pregnancy is definitely a time for a special level of nutritional concern; you literally are eating for two, and the baby growing inside you does not have opportunity to influence this time in their life, when their nutritional support is highly predictive of their birth weight and initial state of health.
