Diets through history: The good, the bad and the scary – CNN.com.

Diets come and go — you may have tried several of the fads on this list.

Successful for some, but for many, inducers of setbacks that induce rapid weight gain as soon as you’re off the diet.  Setting ourselves up for the next fad in the list.

There’s a way out.  Eating well and nutritiously but eating less than is required to maintain the weight you’re at.  Finding progressively more strength and motivation to live the active life you’ve always wanted.

It doesn’t start with whatever the latest diet plan is; it starts with you.
