Recipe: Dipping herbs in the style of Carraba’s

1 tablespoon minced basil
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (italian is best)
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt or ground sea salt
1/2 teaspoon chopped rosemary
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon olive oil

Mix all the above together in a blender, food processor, or by hand until everything is about the same consistency.  Pour extra virgin olive oil in a shallow saucer, add some of the above, and dip some whole wheat Italian bread in it.  Hard to beat!  It’s a great way to get your olive oil for the day, and an especially pleasant experience to share with friends.
