Further fallout from our expanding obesity problem

Medical Equipment in the hospital room

I’ve been working with a mission organization that has a unique way of supplying essential medical equipment to clinics in impoverished countries.  Doctors all across the US are having to replace equipment because it is no longer wide enough and sturdy enough to hold us.  Everything from exam tables to radiology equipment to hospital beds to waiting room furniture needs to be tossed and replaced with widebody versions.  The agency I’ve worked with locates equipment that’s too small for here but still in good working order, and arranges for it to be transported to countries where people haven’t yet grown so wide of frame.

It works.
