Amy’s Light & Lean Soft Taco Fiesta Review

I’m pretty sure most of our readership is at least a little skittish about the whole Lean Cuisine / frankenfood thing.  There must be a better way to get a freezer meal that’s not full of odd chemical formulations.

Enter Amys, Kashi, and several smaller outfits — about a dollar more expensive, or more, but natural ingredients, with some vegetarian and vegan choices in there.

We’ll try to review some of these as I eat through them.

Today, Amy’s.  All Amy’s products are organic, vegetarian, and are made without the use of trans fats or GMOs.

First thing you notice about this entree is, it’s not a huge serving.  But that’s ok, it’s adequately filling, with all the beans and rice.  Second thing you notice is it looks like somebody already ate it and upchucked it back up into the box.  Third thing you notice is that it tastes very GOOD.  Black beans and cheese on top of a soft corn tortilla, on brown rice, and vegetables.   All tasty things there, and they all go well together.  This one is a keeper!
