Is fast food cheaper than cooking at home?

No.  Here’s proof.

At McD’s it costs $20 to feed my family of five a quarter pounder, fries, and drink.  Not that we would.

Cooking five quarter pound grass fed beef burgers, whole wheat buns,  fries from organic potatoes and iced unsweetened tea costs $12.

If you’re just feeding one, the meat can be pre-portioned and frozen, and the buns are fine to freeze.  The ‘taters will last plenty long enough even without the chemical sprout inhibitors.
