I’m from the government and I’m here to ..,

So much water under the bridge for government efforts to first hugely subsidize and bring to market a vast over-supply of ultra-inexpensive corn and soybeans  — which by their very nature lead to vast quantities of ultra-inexpensive junk food  — then looking down the nose at those who have learned to get along on mostly those cheap foods — then destabilizing the prices of those cheap foods by making that same corn and soy a vehicle fuel instead of people fuel.

Therefore we really have to hand it to the NYT for not actually coming to the obvious conclusions in this long piece of hand wringing:

The government is not your mother.

Go take good care of yourself today.  Don’t wait for someone to try to do it for you.
