Eat your colors

Here’s a handy way to insure your vegetable intake is at the level of optimum health. Every day eat something green, something yellow/ orange, and something brightly colored. The color differences go hand in hand with varying types of benefit, not to mention the delightful differences in taste.

Five servings of fruits and vegetables is a good baseline plant intake per day.  That’s not as much as it might sound like — a serving fits conveniently in one hand.  It might sound expensive — but it’s not, compared to the medical bills you’d have later arising from a poor diet.
